Pinpoint’s Website & Branding
client:Pinpoint Proximity Marketing
role:Logo, Branding, Design, Code, Mobile
year:2014
Initial Website Ideas
The founders of Pinpoint approached me about creating a responsive website that established the branding for their proximity marketing business. They needed a website up yesterday, so we went ahead included a time-machine in the list of deliverables. Prototyping the site came in really handy while we were swapping out different fonts and color schemes.
Thankfully, I already had a solid wireframe to work from. From there, I went back and forth with how much or how little color to include on the site.
Branding
While I was prototyping different versions of the homepage, I took a step back to do some icon experiments, font exploration, and logo treaments.
Fine Tuning
The logo was almost there, but we decided to take one more look at the typeface (below left), and finally settled on a slab-serif font for the final logo (below right).
Finalizing
With the branding finalized, I coded out the rest of the site and tightened up some loose ends. The final sight can be seen at http://www.wepinpoint.com.
Testimonial
Pinpoint was a pleasure to work with because of the emerging proximity-retail market. I'm excited to ss what the future holds for them and can't wait to work with Navid and Tomer on future projects. Here's what they had to say about my freelance work:
"Jake was nothing short of fantastic to work with. In a startup, the timeframe is always yesterday and Jake worked with incredible sense of urgency without sacrificing any of the quality. He listened to our vision and brought it to life. I'd highly recommend Jake to others and look forward to collaborating with Jake in the future"
